Consuming what is unlawful (أَكْلُ الحَرَامِ)

المعنى الاصطلاحي :


Consuming what is forbidden by the Shariah, whether by eating, wearing, riding, or otherwise.

الشرح المختصر :


"Akl al-harām" (consuming what is unlawful) means consuming any of the things prohibited by the Shariah. This includes the following: 1. Eating prohibited food; whether it is prohibited in and of itself, like pork, dead animals (that were not lawfully slaughtered), and blood, or food that is prohibited for a reason, like stolen food. 2. Taking any type of intoxicant whether liquid or solid. 3. Spending on oneself or others from illegal wealth, like money that is gained from fornication, singing, an invalid sale, theft, bribery, needless begging, and so on.
