Attainment (إِصَابةٌ)

Attainment (إِصَابةٌ)

أصول الفقه

المعنى الاصطلاحي :

Realizing an intended goal by speech or action.

الشرح المختصر :

"Isābah" (attainment): Muslim jurists stated attainability as a condition for acts, like holding a contest, contracting marriage, agreeing on wages, and the like. In other words, it should be something possible to attain rather than impossible or rare. So if the contract includes a condition of attaining something that is usually impossible to attain, then it will be void because it does not lead to fulfilling the aim, which is everyone's main purpose of entering into contract.

التعريف اللغوي المختصر :

"Isābah": arrival, achievement of an end. Opposite: "khata’" (error). It is derived from "sawb", which means purpose. Other meanings: taking and acquiring something, tilting, lowering, realizing, succeeding, finding.
