المعنى الاصطلاحي :


An elevated place in Mina where pilgrims stone the "jamarāt" (stoning pillars) on the tenth day of Dhul-Hijjah.

الشرح المختصر :


Al-‘Aqabah was a hill near a mount in Mina. It was removed in the era of King Saud, 1475 AH, for road expansion.

التعريف اللغوي المختصر :


"‘Aqabah": a difficult path through the mountains, a mountain. It is derived from "i‘qāb", which means height. Other meanings: anything difficult, anything high and hard.
