Supernatural act (خَرْقٌ)

المعنى الاصطلاحي :
Doing something which is considered supernatural and unfamiliar by the majority of people.
الشرح المختصر :
"Kharq" (supernatural act): If something supernatural is done by a prophet in the context of a challenge, it is a "mu‘jizah" (miracle), but if it happens before his prophethood, then it is an "irhās" (indication to his prophethood); if it happens to one of the righteous believers (a friend of Allah), then it is a "karāmah" (honor) for him granted by Allah; otherwise, it is either sorcery, allurement, or juggling.
التعريف اللغوي المختصر :
"Kharq": a hole or a puncture. Original meaning: cutting, ripping, or splitting. Other meanings: passing or penetration into something.
