To visit a sick person and ask after him.
"‘Iyādah" (visiting the sick) is to visit a person afflicted with an illness or weakness, whether his condition prevents him from going out to meet people or not. It is a refined etiquette that Islam has urged Muslims to adhere to and has placed among the foremost rights of a Muslim upon his fellow Muslims.
"‘Iyādah": visiting. Derived from "‘awd", which indicates repeating an action or returning (to doing something).
