Blood relationship that connects man with others.
"Qarābah" (kinship) is a relationship shared between family members through birth, whether immediate or not. It covers one's ancestors, offspring, and extended relatives. One's ancestors are the fathers and grandfathers, up to all levels, and the mothers and grandmothers, up to levels; whereas one's offspring are the sons and daughters and grandsons and granddaughters, down to all levels. One's extended relatives, however, include the brothers and sisters along with their children, the uncles and aunts, and the great-uncles and great-aunts up to all levels.
"Qarābah": blood relationship. It is derived from "qurb", which means closeness and nearness; opposite: "bu‘d" (remoteness).
