الشرح المختصر

"Al-Kutub": Believing in the divine scriptures is one of the fundamental Pillars of Faith. Believing in them means to firmly affirm that they are the truth, the word of Allah, and containing guidance and light for the creation. One must believe in the names that Allah gave to each scripture, such as: the Torah, the Bible, the Psalms, and the Sheets of Abraham and Moses. One must also believe that they contain justice and beneficial commandments for the reformation of humankind. In addition, one must believe in the unnamed scriptures, as Allah, the Exalted, revealed scriptures that only He knows about. The Qur"an is the best and the seal of these scriptures. It bears witness to those past scriptures, confirms them, and acts as a judge over them. It is the one Book after which all nations must follow, and by which they must rule, together with the authentic Sunnah of the Messenger, may Allah"s peace and blessings be upon him. Allah has not guaranteed the preservation of any other scripture besides the Qur’an. Instead, he gave this task to the rabbis and priests, but they did not fulfill their duty, and therefore their books were altered and changed.
