The Companions regarding whom the Prophet, may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him, testified that they would enter Paradise. This includes the ten Companions known with this title as well as others.
"Al-Mubashsharoon bi al-Jannah" (those promised Paradise) refers to a group of the Companions, may Allah be pleased with them, who will undoubtedly enter Paradise, as testified by the Prophet, may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him. This comprises the famous ten Companions who were promised Paradise, including the four rightly-guided Caliphs and others. They are as follows: Abu Bakr as-Siddeeq, ‘Umar Ibn al-Khattāb, ‘Uthmān ibn ‘Affān, ‘Ali Ibn Abi Tālib, ‘Abd-ur-Rahmān ibn ‘Awf, Az-Zubayr ibn al-‘Awwām, Talhah ibn ‘Ubaydullah, Abu ‘Ubaydah ibn al-Jarrāh, Sa‘d ibn Abi Waqqās, and Sa‘eed ibn Zayd ibn Nufayl, may Allah be pleased with all of them. There are also other Companions to whom the Prophet, may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him, gave the glad tidings of Paradise, such as: ‘Abdullah ibn Mas‘ood, Bilal ibn Rabāh, ‘Ukkāshah ibn Mihsan, Ja‘far ibn Abi Tālib, and others. Yet, those ten were singled out because the Prophet, may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him, gave the glad tidings to all of them at the same time in one Hadith. Ahl-us-Sunnah wa al-Jamā‘ah confirm that all the Companions who were expressly specified by the Prophet, may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him, to be among of the people of Paradise shall enter it. This is because the infallible Prophet, may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him, testified to this. As for the rest of the Companions, they wish good for them all, since Allah, the Almighty, promised all of them Paradise. After referring to the Companions, may Allah be pleased with them, and their varying virtues, Allah, the Almighty, said: {But to all Allah has promised the best [reward].} [An-Nisā’: 95] The "best reward" here refers to Paradise.
