الشرح المختصر
"Mashroo‘iyyah" (legitimacy) is used to generally describe a legitimate or recommended act or statement. It may be known by explicit mention in the Qur’an or Sunnah, or through sound deduction. Thus, it becomes one of the rulings of the religion which people are required to pursue and apply under the Shariah. This includes what is recommended and obligatory, all of which are given that description of "mashroo‘iyyah".

"Mashroo‘iyyah": ascribed to "mashroo‘", which means made clear, manifest. Derived from "shar‘", which means clarification and demonstration.
