Legally trained animal for hunting, according to experts.
"Mu‘allam" (trained animal/hunting animal): There are two types of hunting tools: actual tools, and animals. 1. Tools: a tool having an edge for cutting, i.e. a sword or knife; or a sharp-headed tool launched from another device designed to pierce through, like an arrow and so on. 2. Animals: the predator type, i.e. dogs, lions, tigers, and birds with talons or tusks, provided that they should be trained for hunting so that they obey when ordered and do not eat the prey when they catch it. Frequent ground experiences and tests can identify whether they are trained or not.
"Mu‘allam": learned one. Derived from "‘ilm", which means knowledge. Opposite: "jāhil" (ignorant). Other meanings: proficiency, accuracy.
