المعنى الاصطلاحي :


"It is taking leave of someone with words or actions when parting from them.

الشرح المختصر :


"Wadā‘" (bidding farewell) is to take leave of someone who is departing. It can be done verbally by saying "salām"(“peace be upon you”), making "du‘ā" (supplication), and the like, or physically by shaking hands, embracing, escorting, and the like. "Wadā‘" can be done to people who are living or dead, whether for travel reasons or otherwise.

التعريف اللغوي المختصر :


"Wadā‘": escorting someone and taking leave of him on departure. It can be done to someone who is living or dead. "Wadā‘" can also refer to parting and departure. It is derived from "wad‘", which means leaving and abandoning.
