الشرح المختصر :

Reciting the Qur'an is one of the greatest acts of worship that bring one closer to Allah and one of the best acts of obedience. It has two types: 1. Recitation of words: recitation of the Qur'an the way Allah the Almighty revealed it with a measured recitation and in a beautified manner, without addition or omission. This type of recitation is a means. 2- Recitation of meanings: following the Qur'an, acting upon what it contains, and believing in its unspecific verses. This type of recitation is an end in itself, being more honorable than type one. The people of recitation are those who actually read and follow the Qur'an. Levels of recitation are four: 1. "Tarteel": reciting the Qur'an in a slow and beautified manner without rushing, along with reflecting on the meanings. 2. "Hadr": reciting the Qur'an easily and quickly without missing the rules of recitation. 3. "Tadweer": reciting midway between "hadr" and "tarteel". 4. "Tahqeeq": reciting at a very slow pace, with perfect pronunciation. This is usually done for educational purposes. Etiquettes of recitation: 1. Reading in a clean place, and the best place is the mosque. 2. Brushing the teeth to clean the mouth before reading the Qur'an out of glorification. 3. Sitting quietly in the direction of "Qiblah". 4. Reflecting on the parts that one recites. 5. It is recommended to recite in a measured recitation and to beautify the voice while reciting. 6. Approaching the Qur'an with awe, humility, and crying. 7. Reciting the Qur'an at the best times regularly.
