الشرح المختصر :

"Ahkām al-Qur’an" (Qur’anic rulings) are the juristic issues indicated by certain Qur’anic verses. "Ahkām al-Qur’an" are divided into two categories: 1. Rulings that are stated explicitly. Most "ahkām al-Qur’an" fall under this category, such as the verse of debt and most rulings of the Sūrahs Al-Baqarah, An-Nisā’, and Al-Mā’idah. 2. Rulings that are deduced by reflection and inference. These are also divided into two categories: a) Rulings that are deduced directly from a verse without adding another verse to it. b) Rulings that are deduced by adding one verse to another or to an authentic prophetic tradition. The verses that contain juristic rulings are called the verses of rulings. The "Tafseer" (interpretation) of the verses of rulings are called juridical exegeses. This type of exegesis is concerned with identifying and explaining juristic rulings. The explanation of "ahkām al-Qur’an" falls under two categories: 1. A category associated with exegesis, so it combines commentary and explanation of rulings at the same time. 2. A category that comes after "Tafseer", so the meaning is explained independently of the explanation of juristic rulings. The meaning is explained first, and then the juristic ruling is explained after.
