التعريف :
To tie up something and keep it together.
المعنى الاصطلاحي :
Diligence in doing something and being careful to perform it and not to miss it.
الشرح المختصر :
"Hazm" (resolve) is when a person intends to obey his Lord in this world by making his heart determined to do so without hesitation. He does not miss an opportunity to perform good deeds because he is in pursuit of the reward of Allah, and he does not see a chance for sin except that he avoids it out of fear of Allah’s punishment.
