المتين
كلمة (المتين) في اللغة صفة مشبهة باسم الفاعل على وزن (فعيل) وهو...
The intermingling of parts of things and their gathering in one place.
"Ikhtilāt" (mixing) is the joining of parts in a certain way. It is of two types: 1. "Ikhtilāt" by proximity: where the mixed parts can be separated, such as the "ikhtilāt" of animals and properties. 2. "Ikhtilāt" by blending: where the mixed parts cannot be separated, such as the "ikhtilāt" of fluids, among which is the "ikhtilāt" of pure water with that which is impure, and the like.
"Ikhtilāt": the gathering of things. Derived from "khalt", which means joining and gathering. Opposite: "fasl" (separating), "tafreeq" (dispersing), "tamyeez" (segregating). Other meanings: the intermingling of different parts of something.
The presence of men and women in the same place, heedless of religious requirements, which leads to temptation and unacceptable behaviour.
