الشرح المختصر :


"Khawās al-Qur’an" (specific characteristics of the Qur’an) is a branch of "‘uloom al-Qur’an" (Qur’anic sciences) that has to do with the greatness and sacredness of the Qur’an. It focuses on the knowledge of the specific characteristics and wonders of the Qur’an that distinguishes it from the rest of human speech. It comprises all the effects that result from reciting or writing a verse or a chapter of the Qur’an. It could also be referred to as: benefits of the Qur’an or secrets of the Qur’an. It may involve specific characteristics of a certain surah, like Sūrat al-Baqarah, or a certain verse like the verse of al-Kursi. Such specific characteristics include the following: 1. Using them as "ruqyah" (healing through Qur’anic recitation and supplication) and treatment for spiritual illnesses like sorcery as well as physical illnesses. 2. Removing worries and distress from its reciter. 3. Warding off the evils of humans and Jinn. 4. The abundant reward for whoever recites and ponders over it. 5. Its intercession for its people who are knowledgeable of it and act in accordance with it.
