Land of Islam (دَارُ الإِسْلَامِ)

التعريف :
Every area where the rule of law is in accordance with Islamic jurisprudence.
المعنى الاصطلاحي :
Any land where the rulings of Islam are dominant, even if the majority of the population are non-Muslims.
الشرح المختصر :
"Dār al-Islam" (abode of Islam) is every country whose rulers and those in power therein observe the limits of Allah or rule the people by Islamic law, thus enabling them to fulfill the obligations of Islam. "Dār al-Islam" is any country that has mosques and worshipers who establish prayer, even if sins like drinking alcohol, music, and the like are committed in it. It is, therefore, impermissible to invade it or violate its sanctity or fight its population, even if sinfulness and corruption are prevalent among them. The role of Ahl-us-Sunnah therein is limited to calling people to the right path and striving to bring about reform.
