التعريف :


One or two nights at the end of a lunar month. They are given this name because the moon is invisible in these nights. The term is also said to refer to the beginning or the middle of a lunar month.

المعنى الاصطلاحي :


The day or two during which the moon is invisible at the end of the month.

الشرح المختصر :


"Surar" or "sirār" (moonless night) is the last night of the month. If the month consists of twenty-nine days, then its "sirār" is the twenty-eighth night. If the month is thirty days long, then its "sirār" is the twenty-ninth night.
