التعريف :
The time when a woman is free from menstruation and postnatal discharge.
المعنى الاصطلاحي :
The interval of time during which the woman is free from menses and post-natal bleeding.
الشرح المختصر :
"Tuhr" (purification) is the woman's state of purity from menses and post-natal bleeding. There are two signs to mark it: 1. Cessation of blood flow, which the scholars of Fiqh call "jafāf" (dryness). In this case, if a woman inserts a piece of cloth in her vagina and takes it out, it will come out clean without any traces of blood. 2. Seeing "qassah baydā’", which is whitish water discharged from the woman's vagina after her menses are over.

"Tuhr": state of purity from filth; cessation of vaginal bleeding and seeing signs of purity.
