altering narrator (الْمُصْحَف)

التعريف :


A narrator who mistakenly changes some letters, but not the functions of the words.

المعنى الاصطلاحي :


The collection of sheets and papers on which the Noble Qur’an is written with all its verses and surahs arranged in the same order upon which the Muslims agreed during the era of ‘Uthmān, may Allah be pleased with him.

الشرح المختصر :


"Mus'haf" (written copy of the Qur’an) is the book between whose two covers is the speech of Allah, the Exalted, which was revealed to His Messenger, Muhammad, may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him, is collected, whether it comprises the Qur’an in full or in part, as long as it is specifically designated for the Qur’an, like "juz’ Tabārak" (the 29th part of the Qur’an) and so on. Calling the Noble Qur’an "mus'haf" started during the era of Abu Bakr as-Siddīq, may Allah be pleased with him.

التعريف اللغوي المختصر :


"Mus'haf": a collection of written sheets. The word "mus'haf" became mostly used to refer to the Noble Qur’an.
