التعريف :
To request urgent and immediate mobilisation, with military units kept on the alert.
المعنى الاصطلاحي :
Request of the leader of the Muslims or his deputy from one or more of his subjects to march out for the fight in the cause of Allah.
التعريف اللغوي المختصر :
"Istinfaar": it is derived from "istanfara", which means to seek aid and support. "Nafeer": motivating to set out and depart hastily to fight the enemy.
