"Usrah" (family) is a group of people who are related by kinship and lineage. The basis for the foundation of a family is the husband and wife, and its broader definition extends to include every person whom a man has to care for and provide for from his ancestors and descendants, such as his father and mother, grandfather and grandmother, sons and daughters, and others.
