المعنى الاصطلاحي :
When a man conducts a marriage contract for someone else.
الشرح المختصر :
"Tazweej" (giving in marriage) is a legal guardianship role whereby the marriage contract is made. The guardian is someone who exercises authority over a woman by virtue of ownership, fatherhood, "ta‘seeb" (being related paternally), being appointed as her guardian, caretaking, or rule. The marriage contract entails the man's right to enjoy the woman and the lawfulness of the woman enjoying the man in a Shariah-approved manner.
التعريف اللغوي المختصر :
"Tazweej": marrying off. Original meaning: pairing two things together. Opposite: "ifrād" (isolating). Other meanings: gathering, joining.
