المعنى الاصطلاحي :
Qualifying a general term with restrictive characteristics and conditions.
الشرح المختصر :
"Taqyeed" means reducing the general scope of a term or expression by qualifying it through the use of another term that indicates it is restricted. This is done by adding either a condition, a characteristic, a state, or the like, as in stipulating the slave (which is freed in expiation) to be "a believer" and the sheep (in which Zakah is required) to be "grazing".
