That the wording indicates a meaning beyond what it refers to.
المعنى الاصطلاحي :
The concomitant signification of a word that is not an immediate meaning of it.
الشرح المختصر :
"Dalālat al-iltizām" (signification by implication) is a signification of a concomitant meaning, which is necessarily understood from a word's direct meaning. For example, "Al-Khāliq" (the Creator) is a name and an attribute of Allah. Being the Creator, Allah is necessarily knowledgeable and powerful, so knowledge and power are concomitants of "creation".
