To praise others using fine words and expressions. It does not necessarily imply that one loves the person one praises.
المعنى الاصطلاحي :
Praising someone by mentioning his good characteristics, whether related to his appearance or intentional conducts.
التعريف اللغوي المختصر :
"Al-mad-h": good praise. Or it is verbally praising someone for deliberate optional good conducts. Opposite: "dhamm" (satire and dispraise).
