Al-Barā' (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No two Muslims meet and shake hands except that their sins are forgiven before they part (from each other). "

شرح الحديث :

The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No two Muslims meet and shake hands," i.e. they shake hands immediately after meeting. "Except that their sins are forgiven," i.e. the sins that are expiated by righteous deeds are the minor sins that relate to the rights of Allah, Glorified and Exalted. "Before they part (from each other)," the statement involves a confirmation of the command and encouragement of shaking hands. Excluded from the general command of handshaking is shaking hands with non-Mahram women.
