A limited interval of time that has an ultimate end.
"Amad" (duration) is the interval of time that is confined by a beginning and an end, whether it is long or short. It is of two types: - Past "amad", which is a specific period of time that has already ended. - Future "amad", which is a specific period of time that is expected in the future. This second type may either end at a certain point of time in this worldly life or at a certain point of time on the Day of Resurrection.
"Amad": time interval and duration. Original meaning: the end and the ultimate goal. Other meanings: the appointed term, the end of an interval of time.
