الشرح المختصر
"Ithmid" (antimony) is the best type of kohl (eyeliner), which is used by both men and women. It is found in Arabia, Morocco, Isbahan (present-day Iran), and other countries. "Ithmid" is a brittle mineral that can be easily crushed to powder. It is silvery white in its pure form. It emits a distinct smell when rubbed between the fingers. "Ithmid" is used to improve the eyesight and keep one's eyes in a healthy condition and as a cosmetic to adorn and beautify, and has other uses as well.
