Sending the Qur’an down to the lowest heaven all at once, then sending it down to Muhammad, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him, through Jibreel (Gabriel), peace be upon him, after hearing it from Allah.
"Inzāl al-Qur’an" (sending down the Qur’an) took place in two ways: 1. The entire Qur’an was sent down in a written form from the Preserved Tablet to the House of Honor in the lowest heaven. This descent occurred during "Laylat al-Qadr" (the Night of Decree) in the month of Ramadān. 2. The Qur’an was sent down, heard from Allah, the Almighty, gradually as per incidents and events from the start of the Prophet's mission until the end of his life. Allah spoke the Qur’an; Gabriel heard the Qur’an from Allah; and then the Prophet, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him, heard the Qur’an from Gabriel.
