أصول الفقه

المعنى الاصطلاحي :

Water which has one or more of its characteristics altered because of mixing with a pure substance.

الشرح المختصر :

"Mā’ mutaghayyir bi-tāhir" (purely mixed water) is pure water which has one of its three characteristics (color, taste, and smell) altered as a result of mixing with a pure substance that fell in it, such as milk, vinegar, or the like. This water is pure in itself, but it cannot be used a means of purification. It can be used in habitual tasks such as cooking and drinking, but is not used in acts of worship like making ablution and ritual bath.
