الجبار

The report narrated by one person or more and did not reach the level of "tawātur" (multiplicity of the sources of a report).
"Khabar āhād" (solitary/isolated report): If the "āhād" report is authentic and has been verified, then it is a valid proof and it must be acted upon in terms of beliefs and rulings. This is in case the Islamic community accepts it or in case that there are strong signs and proofs suggesting that it is authentic. Ahl-us-Sunnah Wa al-Jamā‘ah regard the authentic Sunnah the way they regard the Qur’an in terms of making inferences, and they use it as a proof just as they do with the Qur’an without differentiating between the "āhād" and the "mutawātir" reports in creed as well as legal issues.
