Deviation from Shariah texts, by altering their realities and true meanings, or by ascribing cosmic signs fully or partially to other than Allah, the Almighty.
The "āyāt" (verses/signs) of Allah refers to the verses of the Qur’an and the proofs whereby Allah proves His Oneness, Lordship, and Legislation. The "āyāt" of Allah are of two categories: 1. Shariah "āyāt": Proofs of the oneness and lordship of Allah, as well as the corroborating evidence of the messengers. "Ilhād" (deviation) from these "āyāt" is of three types: a) Belying the information they contain. b) Denying the rulings thereof. c) Distorting their information and the rulings. 2. Cosmic "āyāt": Celestial and terrestrial creations. "Ilhād" from these "āyāt" is of three types: a) Attribution of the creative power partially or exclusively to other than Allah. b) Believing that a being besides Allah shares the creation with Him. c) Believing that Allah is assisted in creating them and managing their affairs. Everything that violates the oneness of Allah as the Lord is a deviation from the cosmic "āyāt".
To distort God’s revelations by criticising them or giving them meanings other than their true meanings, while accepting their texts. Also to deny God’s universal signs, attributing them to others, either as sole owners or as partners with God or his helpers.
