A phrase of glorification and exaltation of Allah, the Almighty, which means: glorified and exalted be Allah.
“Tabārak Allah” (blessed be Allah) is a phrase that indicates the perfection of Allah and His exaltedness above all defects and imperfections. This is an attribute belonging to Allah, the Almighty, alone, and not to anyone else from His creation. “Tabārak Allah” means that He bestows abundant blessings and bounties upon us. It follows that He must be glorified and exalted far above anything that does not befit His majesty and might. Indeed, the Bestower of blessings and favors and the Provider of sustenance must be the sole Possessor of greatness and perfection and the only One worthy of being worshiped. As for those who give no blessing, favor, or sustenance, like the idols and any other thing that is worshiped apart from Allah, they do not deserve to be worshiped. Blessing is of two types: 1. Ultimate blessing: The plentiful and permanent goodness and bounty. This is what we mean by saying “Tabārak Allah”. It is an attribute that belongs to Allah, the Almighty, alone and may not be ascribed to anyone else. 2. Limited blessing: It may be ascribed to created beings, like saying, ‘so-and-so is blessed,’ meaning that he is so good, helpful, and beneficial.
God is exalted, most high, blessed and has all attributes of perfection. His bounty and favours are limitless. This is an attribute of self and action, confirmed in the Qur'an and the sunnah as belonging to God. He says: ‘blessed be he in whose hand all dominion rests’ (67: 1).
