التعريف :


Man’s or animal’s skin. The adīm of anything is its outer surface, as when we say the earth’s adīm or the sky’s adīm, meaning what appears of them.

المعنى الاصطلاحي :


Tanned or untanned leather.

الشرح المختصر :


"Adeem" (leather) is the animal skin whether tanned or not. Tanning leather is by getting it treated with gum, salt, and other materials to eliminate its stink, humidity and foul smell. It is the skin that covers the animal's body.

التعريف اللغوي المختصر :


"Adeem": leather, tanned leather. It is used to mean the surface of something, e.g. the surface of the earth. Derived from "adm", which means collecting, joining, mending.
