A change in the heart that occurs when one's blood boils and urges them to attack violently and take revenge.
"Ghadab" (anger) is an emotional feeling and a psychological change that causes the boiling of blood in the heart. This change urges man to take revenge from a person and cause him harm in order to feel relieved. It may be accompanied with sounds, wailing, blushing of the face, and the like. "Ghadab" is of three levels: 1. Initial "ghadab": when a person experiences the initial symptoms of "ghadab" in which his mind is stable and he is aware of what he says. 2. Intensified "ghadab": when anger intensifies and rises beyond the initial symptoms but does not reach the ultimate level. 3. Extreme "ghadab": when anger reaches its climax and covers the mind so that the person does not know what he says and behaves like a mad man. "Ghadab" is also divided into two categories: 1. Praiseworthy "ghadab": which occurs when the sacred ordinances of Allah are violated, such as getting angry when seeing someone commit a sin. 2. Blameworthy "ghadab": which arises because of worldly matters and personal gains. It is to be noted that this anger is related to human anger, while Allah's anger is different than that of the humans.
"Ghadab": anger and great dissatisfaction. Opposite: "rida" (contentment). Original meaning: strength, hardness. Other meanings: a change that occurs in humans when the blood of their heart boils.
A change in the body resulting from one’s boiling blood and eagerness to get satisfaction.
