التعريف :


- according to the majority of scholars, it means ‘duty’, which is something that carries a warning of incurring punishment if omitted, when it is confirmed by an evidence that is certain or probable.

المعنى الاصطلاحي :


What the Shariah condemns the one who intentionally abandons it totally.

الشرح المختصر :


"Fard" (Obligation) is an act that one is rewarded for doing and is punished for abandoning. Categories of "fard": 1. Individual "fard": is an act that Allah made obligatory on every individual. 2.Collective "fard": is an act that Allah made obligatory on the whole community, but if it is performed by a sufficient number of individuals, there will be no sin on the rest.
