فضائل الذكر
Abu Ayyūb (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever says, ten times: There is no god but Allah alone, Who has no partner, to Him belongs the sovereignty, to Him belongs the praise, and He is Omnipotent over all things; will be as though he emancipated four slaves from the offspring of Isma‘īl.”
عن أبي أيوب -رضي الله عنه- عن النبي -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قال: «مَنْ قَالَ: لَا إلَهَ إلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ، وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ عَشْرَ مَرَّاتٍ كَانَ كَمَنْ أَعْتَقَ أَرْبَعَةَ أَنْفُسٍ مِنْ وَلَدِ إسْمَاعِيلَ».
شرح الحديث :
The Hadīth is an evidence of the virtue of this "Dhikr" (remembrance of Allah), because it contains of the acknowledgement of the Oneness of Allah; and that whoever says it ten times, understanding it and acting upon its requirements; will have a reward similar to the one who emancipates four slaves from the offspring of Isma‘īl, the son of Ibrahīm (peace be upon both of them).
