الأخلاق الذميمة
Jābir ibn ‘Abdullāh (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Beware of oppression, for oppression will be layers of darkness on the Day of Resurrection; and beware of stinginess, as it ruined those who were before you. It incited them to shed their blood and regard the unlawful as lawful."
عن جابر بن عبدالله -رضي الله عنهما- قال قال رسول الله -صلى الله عليه وسلم-: «اتقوا الظلم؛ فإن الظلم ظلمات يوم القيامة، واتقوا الشُّحَّ؛ فإن الشُّحَّ أَهْلَك من كان قبلكم، حملهم على أن سفكوا دماءهم، وَاسْتَحَلُّوا محارمهم».
شرح الحديث :
Avoid oppression of people, oppression of oneself, and oppression with regard to Allah, the Almighty, for its recompense will be so severe on the Day of Judgment. You should also avoid stinginess, another form of oppression. It is an old ailment that existed amongst the previous nations and caused people to kill one another and deem permissible what Allah declared impermissible.
