توحيد الأسماء والصفات
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Our Lord, Glorified and Exalted, descends every night to the lowest heaven in the last third of the night and says: ‘Who supplicates Me so that I may answer him? Who asks Me so that I may give him? Who asks Me for forgiveness so that I may forgive him?’”

شرح الحديث :

Our Lord, Glorified and Exalted, descends every night to the lowest heaven in the last third of the night and says: "Who supplicates Me so that I may answer him? Who asks Me so that I may give him? Who asks Me for forgiveness so that I may forgive him?" This means that Allah calls His slaves at this time of the night to supplicate Him, and He encourages them to do so, as He answers the supplications. He also calls them to ask Him for whatever they want, for He gives those who ask Him; and He encourages them to seek forgiveness from Him for their sins, for He forgives His believing slaves. This descent is a real one that befits His majesty and perfection. It is not like the descent of creatures. It is not also correct to construe the descent mentioned in the Hadīth as the descent of mercy, the angels, and so on. Rather, we should believe that Allah, the Exalted, descends to the heaven of the world in an actual manner appropriate for His majesty, without distortion, denial, specification of the manner, or likening to His creation. That is the methodology of Ahl As-Sunnah Wa al-Jamā‘ah.
