التعريف :
The form of something after it has been put together, meaning its shape, overall form and compatibility of its parts.
المعنى الاصطلاحي :
The image of any creature of the creation of Allah, the Exalted, whether it is three-dimensional or not.
الشرح المختصر :
A "soorah" (image) is the image of a creature and its appearance. The "soorah" is of two types" 1. "Soorah mujassamah": a three-dimensional image; i.e. one that has a volume such that its parts are prominent and can recognized by touching. Statues fall under this category. 2. "Soorah ghayr-mujassamah": a flat image of two dimensions. Its parts are recognized only by sight without touching, such as images on paper and fabric.
