‘Abdullāh ibn ‘Āmir ibn Rabī‘ah reported from his father that a woman from the Banu Fazārah married a man with a pair of sandals as her dowry. Therefore, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do you approve of (exchanging) yourself and your wealth for a pair of sandals" She said: 'Yes.' Therefore, he approved it.

شرح الحديث :

‘Āmir ibn Rabī‘ah (may Allah be pleased with him) mentions in this Hadīth that the dowry of a female Companion from the tribe of Banu Fazārah was only a pair of sandals. So the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) asked her if she approved of that dowry. When she said that she did, the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) affirmed the validity of the marriage. Although this Hadīth is weak, its content is sound based on the authentic Hadīth that reads: "Seek even a ring of iron (as dowry). "
