Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Mufarridūn have gone ahead." He was asked: "Who are the Mufarridūn, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied: "Those men and women who frequently remember Allah."

شرح الحديث :

Meaning of the Hadīth: Those who frequently occupy themselves with the remembrance of Allah are distinguished and far exceed others in rewards and blessings. They have done more than others and so they preceded them in goodness. Allah, the Almighty, said: ﴿The men who remember Allah often and the women who do so - for them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward.﴾ [Sūrat al-Ahzāb: 35] ﴿The men who remember Allah often﴾, i.e most of the time, especially during specific times of supplication such as in the morning and the evening, and after the obligatory prayers.
