Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) never failed to say these words in the morning and the evening: "O Allah, I ask you for pardon and well-being in my religious and worldly affairs, my family, and my wealth. O Allah, conceal my weaknesses, and set at ease my dismay. O Allah, preserve me from the front and from behind and on my right and on my left and from above; and I seek refuge with you lest I be swallowed up by the earth."

شرح الحديث :

The Messenger (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) would persistently make this supplication, never failing to do so, given the great meanings contained therein. In it, he asks Allah, the Almighty, for safety in religion from sins, violations, and innovations, and safety in worldly life from afflictions and evils; and he asks safety for his family from bad living and diseases and for his wealth from suspicious and ill-gotten gains. He also asks Allah, the Almighty, to conceal his weaknesses and faults, which he would not like others to see, to give him refuge from panic and fearful things, and to protect him from any harm coming from any direction.
