Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: “I see what you do not see. The sky has squeaked, and it has every right to do so, for it does not have a space of four fingers where there is no angel prostrating his forehead before Allah, the Almighty. By Allah! If you knew what I know, you would laugh little and weep much; you would not enjoy women in bed; and you would go out to the open plains loudly imploring Allah, the Almighty.”

شرح الحديث :

In this Hadīth, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) addressed his Companions, saying: I see and know what you do not see or know. The sky made a sound resembling the sound of saddle when it is mounted, and it has the right to do so, for indeed it has no space of four fingers where no angel is there prostrating his forehead before Allah, the Almighty. By Allah! If you knew what I know about the greatness of Allah and the severity of His revenge and punishment, as well as other things of the unseen, you would laugh little and weep much, out of fear of His might and wrath; you would not enjoy intercourse with women, because of your intense fear; and you would go out to the streets, crying and begging your Lord for refuge and mercy.
