شرح الحديث :

This Hadīth suggests three things to observe: to take one's time to call the Adhān well; to pronounce the Iqāmah quickly; to leave enough time between the two calls. This interval should allow people to finish eating, drinking, or relieving themselves. Also, people should not rise to pray until the Imām has come and they have seen him. This Hadīth is weak. The last sentence, however, is mentioned in the two Sahīhs. Abu Qatādah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If the [second] call to payer is made, do not rise until you see me." The beginning of the Hadīth, nevertheless, was reported by ‘Umar and his son (may Allah be pleased with both of them) and by some Tābi‘īn (generation following that of the Companions), as Ibn Abi Shaybah narrates.
