The arrangement of rows in the congregational prayer right behind each other such that there is not more than usual distance between them.
"Ittisaal" (connectedness) means the unity of things and their being linked to each other. It could be used in the physical sense, such as the connectedness of the rows in the congregational prayer, as well as the abstract sense, such as the connectedness of an offer and its acceptance and so on. "Ittisaal" is of two types: 1. "Ittisaal" accompanied by mixing of the connected things, like water and alcohol. 2. "Ittisaal" without mixing of the two connected things, such as water and oil, or a utensil that is partly gold and partly silver.
"Ittisaal": the state of being connected and linked together. Original meaning: association, gathering. Opposite: "inqitaa‘" (disconnectedness) and "infisaal" (separation).
