الشرح المختصر :

"Qirā’āt Qur’āniyyah" (modes of Qur’an recitation) refers to the various ways of reciting words of the Noble Qur’an phonetically or semantically that should be in accordance with the narrations and ways reported from the Imam. "Qirā’āt Qur’āniyyah" are divided into two types: 1. "Qirā’āt mutawātirah" (collectively contiguous modes of Qur’an recitation): There are ten "mutawātir qirā’āt" transmitted from ten senior Quran reciters. Such "qirā’āt" must match conventional Arabic grammatical constructions, in one way or another, coincide with the script of one of the "mus'hafs" (physical copies of the Qur’an) distributed during the era of Caliph ‘Uthmān, even with probability, and have an authentic chain of narration in which the chain of narrators is "mutawātir". 2. "Qirā’āt shādhdhah" (irregular modes of recitation): Any mode of recitation that lacks any of the validity conditions (continuously recurrent chain of narration, matching conventional Arabic grammatical constructions, and coinciding with the script of one of "mus'hafs" distributed during the era of Caliph ‘Uthmān). This rule applies to any mode of recitation regardless of whether it is weak, fabricated, denounced, etc. and whether it was reported from a Companion, a "tābi‘i" (Muslim who met a Companion), one of the ten reciters, or others.
