التعريف :
Changing a word by altering its short vowels, or its letters, or substituting one word for another, or by adding to or omitting from the text, or interpreting it differently from its intended meaning.
المعنى الاصطلاحي :
To alter words by mispronuncing; changing a letter or a word with another; or by adding or deleting to a text (changing the meaning).
الشرح المختصر :
"Tahreef" (distortion) is changing the pronunciation of a word by altering its diacritical marks, such as changing “fulk” to “falak” and “khalq” to “khuluq”; by replacing one letter with another, whether their written forms resemble each other or not; or by replacing a whole word with another. It also includes inserting additions or deletions to a text, or changing the meaning of a word through misinterpretation.
التعريف اللغوي المختصر :
"Tahreef": alteration. Original meaning: inclination toward something. It is turning the meaning of a speech from its original meaing to something else.
