To destroy something by fire.

المعنى الاصطلاحي :


Use of flaming fire to bring about an effect on an item.

الشرح المختصر :


"Ihrāq" (burning/incineration) means the burning of something until it is destroyed completely, or causing an effect on something by exposing it to fire and thus changing it without destroying it. "Ihrāq" with fire that is done deliberately is a premeditated crime, which is subject to the rulings of premeditated acts because it ends life, just as sharp tools do.
